Inspect Your Order Upon Delivery
At Cordero Home & Lighting, every handcrafted fixture is carefully packaged and inspected before shipment to ensure it arrives in perfect condition. Because damages during transit must be reported within a short window of time to our shipping carriers, we require that all customers inspect their orders within 7 days of delivery.
Why This Is Important
Shipping carriers such as UPS only allow us to file a damage claim within a limited timeframe after delivery. If a product is not opened and inspected promptly, we lose the ability to report or recover damages on your behalf.
Unfortunately, we have seen instances where customers wait weeks or even months to open their packages—often due to home renovations or construction delays—and later discover damage. By that time, the carrier claim period has expired, leaving us unable to assist with a refund or replacement.
What You Need To Do

Inspect all items within 7 days of delivery.
Please open each box and check your lighting fixtures carefully, even if installation is not scheduled right away. -
Report any damage immediately.
Contact us at hello@corderolighting.com with clear photos of the damaged fixture, packaging, and shipping label. -
Retain all packaging.
Do not discard any boxes or packing materials until your claim has been processed.
Important Note
After the 7-day inspection window has passed, Cordero Home & Lighting cannot offer refunds, replacements, or store credit for damages discovered later. We appreciate your understanding, as damage occurring after this period may result from handling or storage conditions outside our control.
