General Electric Fan Lamp:

Introduced to the world in 1938, the General Electric Vortalex Fans were built to keep America cool in a difficult World War II era. GE continued producing the popular Vortalex Fans until the 1960s when fans were eclipsed by the more affordable household cooling systems. While today an original Vortalex fan may collect dust in a basement or attic, I take pride in transforming the GE Vortalex Fan in a way that preserves the history while repurposing its function for a 21st century home or business.

I meticulously preserve each and every part of the fan as it was first created, even down to re-polishing the original screws. The blades are then carefully removed and the fan rewired for the addition of classic Edison-style light bulbs. Each repurposed Vortalex fan lamp has a distinct look and can be made-to-order.

Illuminate history in your next space with an original Dan Cordero General Electric Fan Lamp!

Dan does incredibly beautiful, meticulous craftsmanship! This lamp is stunning–a gorgeous mix of materials in finishes that harmonize so well the end product sings. Dan also is a great communicator and kept me posted on where my order was in the process. He is also an impeccable shipper of delicate items, so my lamp and bulbs arrived in mint condition. Based on the superior quality of my lamp, I would say that Dan clearly loves what he does, and my god is he good at it. I will definitely be purchasing from Dan’s shop again. Thanks so much for adding such elegant charm to my living space, Dan!

This piece is stunning, such a gorgeous accent to our new home. You won’t be disappointed. Furthermore, Dan was beyond professional and helpful from the start of our conversation. He answered numerous questions quickly and thoroughly as I was considering whether to order or not. When they finally arrived, one was scratched. I sent a picture to Dan more inquiring about how to fix this, and he immediately sent a replacement! High quality service and product all around.

I give my highest compliment to Daniel. He kept me apprised of where he was on the progress of my customized fan light, and when he couldn’t find something soon enough, he sacrificed his prize fan, and redid it for me. The fan light was beautiful, and arrived unbroken, with 4 edison light bulbs. You will not regret it if you buy something from his store.

The shipping took a little over 30 days to arrive, but when it did, I was truly pleased with the piece. It was well packed and more stunning than the picture. I love it and if I am ever in the market for a similar product, I will be back! Thanks, Dan!
