Vintage Theater Floor Lamp:

Founded in the United States in 1896 by Bavarian Immigrants, Kleigl Brothers Electric Stage Lighting Company was the leading theatrical light production company in the U.S. and around the world. Their name alone became synonymous for “spotlight” and “center of attention”. From New York City’s Radio City Music Hall to the State Opera House in Vienna, Austria, Kleigl Brothers theatrical lighting outfitted major theater, cinema, and television studios for over 100 years.

Beyond its use and impressive historical presence, I was drawn to the original Kleigl Brother spot light for its unique design elements and solid lines. I have carefully restored the original Kliegl Brother lamp to bring attention to the Kleigl’s logo on the top and back as well as their signature “K” crafted to the back badge of the lamp. All the brass has been polished, and I have hand-rubbed the wood with tung oil to restore its shine and add protection. But the beauty of this repurposed lamp does not solely rest at the head. I have intentionally fastened the lamp to an original Folmer Graflex Corp Crown Tripod, another great salute to 20^th century American manufacturing and artistic innovation.

To offer additional functionality and industrial charm for your home, office, or retail space, I have carefully removed the original halogen bulb to make way for a unique foot-long Edison bulb with spiral filament. I added a rotary knob on the top to allow the user to dim the 60w Edison bulb to the desired mood. I also included a foot on/off switch on the cord as well as the ability to swivel the head of the lamp for proper angling.

We all have a little drama in our lives. Why not have the historical stage lighting to prove it!

All lighting and hardware products are assembled in our facility in Charlotte, NC. When an order is placed, it enters a production queue and typically requires 2-3 weeks to complete (excluding our custom globe chandeliers which have an 6 week lead time). We do not stock inventory, and each item is produced just for you by an expert artisan. Our process involves activities such as powder coating, woodworking, chemical aging, lacquering, painting, wiring, testing, packaging, and more, and we do our very best to complete your order in a timely fashion.

For larger orders of 10 or more items, we will contact you if we are not able to meet our quoted lead time. If you need a fixture sooner or on a specific date, please feel free to contact us as soon as possible, and we’ll do our best to accommodate.
