Vintage Theater Floor Lamp:

Founded in the United States in 1896 by Bavarian immigrants, Kleigl Brothers Electric Stage Lighting Company quickly became the leading theatrical lighting manufacturer in America and around the world. The Kleigl name became synonymous with the “spotlight” and the very idea of being center stage. From New York City’s Radio City Music Hall to the State Opera House in Vienna, Austria, Kleigl Brothers lighting illuminated iconic theaters, cinemas, and television studios for more than a century.

At Cordero Home & Lighting, we were drawn to this original Kleigl Brothers spotlight not only for its historical significance, but for its bold industrial lines and unmistakable presence. This rare fixture has been meticulously restored to honor its legacy. The original Kleigl logo on the top and rear housing has been preserved, along with the distinctive signature “K” badge. The brass components have been carefully polished, and the wood elements have been hand-rubbed with tung oil to restore their richness while providing lasting protection.

To complement its commanding form, the spotlight is mounted on a vintage-inspired, adjustable tripod base that reflects early 20th-century industrial and photographic design. Each piece is thoughtfully paired to ensure structural integrity, visual balance, and timeless character.

For modern functionality without compromising authenticity, the original halogen bulb has been replaced with a dramatic, foot-long Edison bulb featuring a spiral filament. A discreet rotary dimmer knob allows for adjustable ambiance, while a convenient foot switch offers easy operation. The adjustable head swivels smoothly, allowing precise directional lighting for home, office, or retail settings.

This is more than a restored artifact — it is a commanding statement piece.

Every space deserves its moment in the spotlight.

We all have a little drama in our lives. Why not have the historical stage lighting to prove it!

Dan does incredibly beautiful, meticulous craftsmanship! This lamp is stunning–a gorgeous mix of materials in finishes that harmonize so well the end product sings. Dan also is a great communicator and kept me posted on where my order was in the process. He is also an impeccable shipper of delicate items, so my lamp and bulbs arrived in mint condition. Based on the superior quality of my lamp, I would say that Dan clearly loves what he does, and my god is he good at it. I will definitely be purchasing from Dan’s shop again. Thanks so much for adding such elegant charm to my living space, Dan!
